Escape Verity Chapter 1 Guide
Learn the Escape Verity loop on Roblox before longer Chapter 2 wings punish every sprint.
Chapter 1 is the teaching act of Escape Verity™ by Mind Blowing Productions on Roblox. You learn the only loop that matters: search for keys, unlock the right doors, stay quiet in spine halls, and reach the exit while Verity listens and hunts. Treat this chapter as training with stakes — not a disposable tutorial you speedrun with random noise.
Confirm you are in the Mind Blowing Productions place (124107554735431), not a different Verity survival title about books and multi-day bases. Then read How to Play if the lobby UI still feels unfamiliar.
Chapter 1 goals
Chapter 1 asks you to prove four habits:
- Search discipline — side rooms and alcoves before main-hall sprints.
- Key-to-door matching — color, label, or shape cues without guessing every lock.
- Noise control — walk by default; sprint only when Verity already committed.
- Exit composure — regroup before the finale instead of trickle feeding deaths.
When those habits stick, Chapter 2 stops feeling impossible.
Opening minutes
Spawn, check objective text, and agree who is caller. The caller tracks keys and doors while others search. Open the Escape Checklist on a second screen if your group can spare it.
Clear the first junction completely: left wing, right wing, then spine. Chapter 1 hides early progression keys in rooms that look optional. Skipping them to “save time” is how lobbies loop the same corridor for ten minutes.
First key and first door
When someone finds a key, announce label + landmark (“red key near stair prop”), then move to the matching door. Do not hold keys as trophies in a dead-end closet. Details on search patterns live in How to Find Keys and Keys guide.
After a door opens, the rear guard watches the connector for five seconds before the whole lobby floods forward. Verity loves loud merges.
Mid-chapter listening drills
Chapter 1 is where you learn Verity’s language: pause, listen, commit, chase, reset. If you hear her stop nearby, freeze movement and cut voice spam. Survival specifics are in How to Survive Verity and Verity Behavior.
Practice breaking line of sight through side rooms instead of marathon sprints down the spine. Chapter 1 connectors are short enough that panic sprints feel productive — they are not. They teach bad muscle memory for Chapter 2.
Co-op roles that actually work
Even in Chapter 1, assign light roles:
| Role | Job |
|---|---|
| Scout | Checks side rooms first |
| Unlocker | Carries keys to labeled doors |
| Rear guard | Watches connectors during merges |
| Caller | Tracks checklist and short callouts |
Deeper role play lives in Co-op Roles. Twelve-player public servers still benefit from two people volunteering as scout + caller.
Finale and first escape
Before the last lock chain, regroup. Confirm every required key is accounted for. Enter the exit segment only when no one is mid-chase. Route language for finales is in Exit Routes and How to Escape.
After your first clear, reset the checklist, note which mistakes caused near-wipes, and skim Common Mistakes before stacking Chapter 2 attempts.
What Chapter 1 does not teach yet
Chapter 1 under-prepares you for parallel key lines and longer listen windows. That is intentional. Use Chapter 1 clears to harden silence and callouts, then graduate with the Chapter 2 Guide.
Optional gear during Chapter 1
Skip heavy Robux spending until you can clear Chapter 1 without coils. Mobility gear hides bad habits. Compare later options in Gamepass Tier List.

Chapter 1 success is quiet competence. If your lobby can unlock two doors without a scream pile-up, you are ready for the longer halls ahead.
